Personally, I'm not a huge fan of cookies. Sure, I'll have them once in a while but eating them for breakfast, dessert and an in-between meal snack??? I don't think so. Unfortunately, neither was I a fan of this book. One of the reviewers called it a clean mystery book...I say it's too clean. There's no magic, no bang. I understand it's a light mystery novel but come on! You gotta have a little chaos in the townsfolk's lives. I mean we just found the body of a supposedly town hero...Doesn't that mean anything? Another HUGE problem I had was: why the heck was Hannah allowed to investigate like that. She's asking everybody these questions and NOBODY seems to realize that they need to have the right to know why the local bakery chef is playing detective...they just give her the answers right away! Overall, little character development and predictable story line makes this a somewhat dry cookie.
