In all honesty I think that this author should mark her work as adult fiction more than teen fiction. Her topics are often pretty intense, and as a mature yet young reader I really didn't like the way she exploited all the information. It is true that certain aspects of her stories do happen in real life, but they can be unnecessarily added into works that younger audiences may read. This book is pretty intense, and I would caution readers under 16 at least. The two main characters didn't even meet until 75% of the way through the book, which I personally don't think establishes enough time for a good relationship. The big idea of the world reshaped from destruction is pretty cool; it does kind of raise questions about our use of technology today. - @Siri of the Teen Review Board of the Hamilton Public Library
