The sea called her. Called her beyond the cliff, beyond the cove where dangerous rip tides lurk, all the way to the magical underwater world of Ingo. Where time doesn’t exist, where the Mer creatures share all their thoughts, and where Sapphire feels at home. Now, when Ingo is in danger from Sapphire’s mom’s friend, it’s time to choose: should she become Mer, and live a carefree life in the ocean, stick with becoming a human, or somehow be in between? I loved this book. It was very well written and creative. The unique story plot with twists and turns will captivate readers and send them off to the world of Ingo. I loved the parts where Sapphire is in Ingo because Mrs. Dunmore describes this world as peaceful, comfortable, and welcoming which really gives the reader a feeling of home. Ingo is a great read for a tween looking for a creative novel.
