"Korea, 1950. They were a MASH (Mobile Army Surgical Hospital) unit stationed three miles from the front. Loosely based on real-life MASH unit 8055, life at the 4077 revolved around the day-to-day routines of Captain "Hawkeye" Pierce, Captain "Trapper" McIntyre, Lieutenant Colonel Henry Blake, Major Margaret Houlihan, Major Franklin Burns and Corporal "Radar" O'Reilly. Now journey back for more hijinks and hilarity with the doctors and nurses of the 4077!"--Container.

A classic television show! A great mix of drama and comedy!

My favourite character from this season: Henry, and how every time he salutes he forgets that he is wearing a fishing hat with hooks on it.

I had never paid much attention to M*A*S*H while I was growing up. My dad took me to the movie and I really didn't understand the situations or humor.
I decided to begin watching the series this year beginning with the first season. The ensemble cast and some compelling stories, along with the great humor made me understand why this series was such a favorite among fans and critics alike.
I have seen some syndicated shows from much later in the series, and I must say that this original cast exceeds any other.
I would highly recommend the first season of M*A*S*H and I hope you enjoy it as I did!

I enjoyed Season One because they still thought of it as a situation comedy rather than the dramedy of the later years.
