Evans is an amazing writer. I never feel like I’m reading a novel when I read his books. I have to see the disclaimer that it’s a work of fiction because it seems like such a true story. I absolutely believe while I’m reading, that the main character actually lived this story & is telling it to me personally.

This series is one of my favorites. The first book in the series is also the title of the series. Waiting for the next in the series was so hard. I just needed to find out what happened next. I have travelled around the U.S. quite a bit so it was fun to read about the places Alan visited on his walk that I had also visited. My husband also liked this series.

This is my second Richard Paul Evans book. He truly has a writing gift. No smut, murder, or gore to be read here. I simply could not put this book down! It is about a man who has it all and loses it all. Decides to take the journey of a lifetime. On his walk he encounters people of all walks of life who make him think about why we are here. I can not wait to get the next book in this series.

I just started this series. This book hooked me from the first chapter. It is certainly a thought provoking subject. Mr. Paul spins a wonderful story. I can hardly wait to get to the 3rd book.

I was happy to be able to read this book from beginning to end without putting it down. Evans draws you into a journey which you must walk with him. A great book from a great author!

In a word: Beautiful. Evans understands the all consuming despair of loss and illustrates that there is hope in the end. This would be a really valuable read for anyone going through grief counselling or working through grief.

A cute fast read with some great lines about life- if you can get past the blurbs on God and religion.
