Released in 2008, still so relevant. The story unfolds so beautifully that you can't help it but love them.

A great family friendly movie. The target audience is young children and it does provide some morals in the story related to keeping fit, recycling and saving the planet from pollution but I did not find them overly heavy handed. The story between WALL-E and EVE was quite nice as well.

The movie is set in the future when Earth is no longer inhabited by humans, who now seem to live in ships where they have become extremely unhealthy. WALL-E is a robot who collects trash on Earth in order to clean it up. He is pretty lonely and only has a pet cockroach. One day, a robot named EVE is dropped off on Earth to find signs of life, and WALL-E falls in love with her. Similar to the way flowers are given to loved ones, WALL-E gives EVE a plant he found. EVE has completed her mission, unbeknownst to WALL-E. He follows her back onto a ship that arrives to retrieve EVE. The autopilot of the ship steals the plant so that humans do not return to Earth, but WALL-E, EVE, and others somehow try to retrieve it.

Wall-E highlights so much about friendship, unity, love and uniqueness that I can’t help but express my love for this movie. Yes, it seems like it will be boring and bland at the beginning but slowly you realize how much this movie matters and how much it will change your mindset about a lot of things. Wall-E is the sole machine left on Earth, and when Eve (another robot) arrives from a different planet to look for life on Earth… she meets Wall-E. The two become friends, but soon Eve is called back to her planet. Luckily for the two, their friendship doesn’t end there because Wall-E hitches onto Eve and follows her. This movie shows a lot of truth because when the planet is shown, we see humans, all obese, watching TV and eating junk food. It shows how the world could become and what we have already seen. It’s really mind changing and I highly recommend watching it. Trust me, its not the boring scenery you think it is. Rating 4.5/5

This movie is...interesting to the say least.

The main characters are WALL-E: Waste Allocation Load Lifter - Earth-Class, & EVE: Extraterrestrial Vegetation Evaluator.

WALL-E is a story that is able to convey multiple emotions from interaction & situation without much dialogue. The main characters are robots, but unlike most films that feature humans ruled by out of control, rogue, artificially intelligent robots, WALL-E reminds us that some robots are benign (like a dishwasher).

A great animation film [well, a great animation film opening scene] from Pixar! Who'da thunk.
Its start is stunning, poignant, but the film quickly stagnates into a conventional goodies and baddies plot.
Its ultra-cute klutz hero will challenge even hardcore cynics to sneer. I haven't seen an animation hero so easy to empathize with since Buzz Lightyear ["I'm just a toy!"].
One quibble [well, as a famous fantasy writer once said, it's the real parts of fantasy that make the fantastic parts more believeable] tho: Eva is sent to explore earth for life, is thrilled when WallE finds a plant. But earlier, WallE's cockroach climbs all over her without triggering her lifesign diagnostics. Huh?
But with Hollywood, best not to look too close.

BORING. Wall- E was a life less character with no likeable qualities. The movies plot is lacking.

This is the best movie I have seen for universal appeal. I used it for a learning tool for Thai students because it did not have complicated script. The students could understand the theme without subtitles.

I loved the robot characters, how the smart robot had the female voice. I loved how Wall-E repairs himself from spare parts of old robots. The movie is beautiful in its simplicity where all the robots work together to start a rebellion.
