I need help being more productive and becoming a "better" person. This book would help me if I was in a worse place than I am now. The author uses lots of examples to prove her points and the concepts are quite sound.

Although I believe self-care to be very important, I found this book to be of little help. This book holds very little information and could have been written as an itemized list. Actually I will summarize it for you here:
1-Tell yourself you love yourself
2-Do not over extend yourself, get used to saying no to others.
3-Add some routine to your life
4-Don't do it all yourself - ask others for help
5-Write a list of things you will absolutely not do anymore, things that haven't been serving you well
6-Decorate one room in your house to make it a room you love to be in.
7-Being sensitive is a wonderful trait!
8-Take care of your body, go to the doctor's, dentist, etc.
9-Discover a hidden passion
There are many wonderful self-help/self-improvement books out there, this is not one of them. I have seen self-care sections in other self-help books that have been more helpful than this book.
The lady who wrote this book has no real credentials. Her resume includes helping people and writing books.
I would pass on this book, it is a waste of time.

I really enjoyed this book. I'm a big fan of Cheryl Richardson and this book just reconfirmed that! Not only did this book help me help myself, but it also helped me help my husband, who is very much the "good boy" like I can be the "good girl." So many ideas in this book are practical and easy to put into practice. I highly reccomend this book to anyone wanting to take control of their lives and learn to live in a positive, healthy and loving way!
