Lacks spirit and magic of “Practical magic” book!😞
“These are the lessons to be learned. Drink chamomile tea to calm the spirit. Feed a cold and starve a fever. Read as many books as you can. Always choose courage. Never watch another woman burn. Know that love is the only answer.”

I really enjoyed this book. Alice Hoffman is one of my favorite authors and I wasn’t disappointed. Loved the historical perspective and characters.

I wasn't a total fan of this book. The writing was too dry and flowery. For me there was no real heart-wrenching action that kept me on the edge of my seat. I did, however, like the conclusion -- what happened to all the characters after the main events. "Rules of Magic" has been my favorite out of this trilogy.
