My name is different every month--Brandy, Honey, Amy...sometimes Joe doesn't even bother to ask--but he never fails to arouse me with his body, his mouth, his touch, no matter what I'm called or where he picks me up. The sex is always amazing, always leaves me itching for more in those long weeks until I see him again.

My real name is Sadie, and once a month over lunch Joe tells me about his latest conquest. But what Joe doesn't know is that, in my mind, I'm the star of every X-rated one-night stand he has revealed to me, or that I'm practically obsessed with our imaginary sex life. I know it's wrong. I know my husband wouldn't understand. But I can't stop. Not yet.

I started reading romance novels to find out what the genre was all about...from that came a morphing into erotica, and, surprisingly to me, I found that, on the whole, women were cutting edge. This book is a cut above romance/erotica/whatever...I found it profoundly moving, a big surprise in the romance stuff...and at the same time wonderfully may need Kleenex from time to time...but, keep the shower cold.

Disclaimer: The Description above for the book is wrong. There is no patient-doctor line to be crossed. He is not even her patient! And God! there more things that have been 'dwindled to nothing' than just her sex life. WHAT I THOUGHT: Might want to have a tissue box near when you read this book. As is Hart's style, there is so much more than meets the eye with 'Broken'. Beneath the steamy scenes there is a beautifully intricate, heartbreaking story about a psychologist torn between loyalty to her husband and loyalty to herself. It's quite a page turner!
