Welcome to Greenwich, Connecticut, where the lawns and the women are perfectly manicured, the Tito's and sodas are extra strong, and everyone has something to say about the infamous new neighbor.

Let's be clear: Emily Charlton does not do the suburbs. After leaving Miranda Priestly, she's been working in Hollywood as an image consultant to the stars, but recently, Emily's lost a few clients. She's hopeless with social media. The new guard is nipping at her heels. She needs a big opportunity, and she needs it now.

When Karolina Hartwell, a gorgeous former supermodel, is arrested for a DUI, her fall from grace is merciless. Her senator-husband leaves her, her Beltway friends disappear, and the tabloids pounce.

In Karolina, Emily finds her comeback opportunity. But she quickly learns Greenwich is a world apart and that this comeback needs a team approach.

So it is that Emily, the scorned Karolina, and their mutual friend Miriam, a powerful attorney turned stay-at-home suburban mom, band together to not only navigate the social land mines of suburban Greenwich but win back the hearts of the American public. Along the way, an indispensable ally emerges in one Miranda Priestly.

With her signature wit, Lauren Weisberger offers an alluring look into a sexy, over-the-top world--and proves it's style and substance together that gets the job done.

Three women, three marriages, three very different personalities. It's a very funny satire about the lives of the rich and famous, and I enjoyed every minute.

The plot focuses on former model Karolina Hartwell, wife of a U. S. Senator, who is arrested for drunk driving in ritzy Greenwich, Connecticut, with her stepson and several of his friends in the car. News of her arrest immediately goes viral and Karolina is scorned everywhere she goes.

Karolina turns to her best friend, Miriam, a high-powered New York attorney who has chosen to quit working and be a stay-at-home mom in Greenwich. Miriam can handle the legal ramifications of the DUI, but she doesn't know how to help Karolina's ruined public image.

To help Karolina, Miriam calls on her old friend, Emily Charlton, former assistant to Miranda Priestly, and now an image consultant to the stars. For me, Emily made the book. She has no patience for the suburban Greenwich wives who have spurned Karolina and is irreverent at every turn. She is in-your-face funny and sees truth as irrelevant; image is everything, and she is an expert at manipulating public opinion.

What happens when Emily from Devil Wears Prada lands in Connecticut suburbia - a place just as toxic and Machiavellian as the office of Runway magazine!

I would be a hypocrite if I were to give this book a bad review after reading it in one sitting. However, there wasn't much in it except for detailed descriptions of rich women's lives in the Greenwich suburb of Connecticut. There is an attempt to bring in a story by introducing Karolina Hartwell into the mix and getting her arrested for DUI but there's not enough of it to make the book spicier. All in all easy reading.
