This book is strongly reminiscent to the Christmas specials found in popular TV shows. Not particularly plot driven or character building, but refreshing and well written all the same.

I really enjoyed this book and all of the series. Keep up the good work.

Another addition to this amazing series- it pulled me right back in and just gave me so much enjoyment reading it. Half of me wishes more had happened but the other half is just happy to read about the characters trying to settle into this life.

It was a good book and I was satisfied while reading it

I suppose I didn't realize that this was a novella going in. I was a little disappointed when I picked up this rather slim book, but only because I wanted more! This is a refreshing look into the Winter Solstice at the Night Court, as the characters focus on rebuilding after the war--physically and emotionally. Very little happens plot-wise, but Maas does set some story lines up for the future. Her writing is satisfying as ever, and this book renewed my interest in the characters and world. Though I've gotta say, Maas reaaally overuses the phrase "by way of greeting." Seriously. Come up with something else! All in all, the book is well worth your time--especially since it's such a quick read!

Similar to TV shows like Downton Abby, this is the Christmas special book to the Court of Thorns and Roses series. Set at Winter Soltice with celebration and gift giving, we are sent back to check on our heroes, heroines, villians, and others to see how they are faring. That's about it. No action, no drama, and maybe a plot. Basically, a filler to the next book. Nice, but not exciting.

What. A. Story. I truly love her writing and am never disappointed. Here, we have a novella/bridge of sorts, between the three "A court of" books and the next three to come. I was hooked from the first page and left enthralled at the last, where it ended with the heartbreaking excerpt for the next book. It saddens me to see that Feyre and Rhysand's story has come to an end, but it is one that I am deeply content with. I do have to say, this is very "fan-fiction-y" for all the fans out there, so read on, but tread with care! To all the dreamers out there - this is only the beginning. 5/5 stars

I absolutely loved this book! While it is a novella and far shorter than the previous books, I still found it completely enjoyable. I loved being able to see the Inner Circle interact together (especially under far less stress than the previous books). The book doesn't necessarily add anything plot wise but it does add some small details that Sarah may pursue in the next series. Overall I found this a quick, fun, and enjoyable read and highly recommend fans of the ACOTAR series pick up and read.

Nothing in this book is integral to the series. It is more of a glimpse at our characters after the events in Court of Wings and Ruin. I still enjoyed it, though, more than that last book....So my anticipation for the next book in the series is more hopeful.

I was disappointed in the book. There isn't much of a story-getting ready for Winter Solstice without much info on its importance or meaning. It turns out not much different then a holiday most of us celebrate. They have all turned into very heavy drinkers and should be introduced to AA. Just a bunch of we need to watch out for this group, and keep an eye on this group again without any new info on these different groups. I'm just glad I didn't buy this book. I'll give the next one a chance, then we'll see.
