Good and true video. Von Kleist is an honest and brave man. 5 stars.
Part of me thinks it would be fun to counter the errors, omissions, and outright lies in this film, but the other part thinks: why bother? 9/11 conspiracy theories have been debunked by much more informed people than I (see attached video; one of many available). And a debunking assumes that the audience for these types of films knows the facts, cares deeply about them, and comes to conclusions after long consideration. And judging from internet comments, they also have advanced degrees in chemistry and engineering. If that's you, wonderful. But be aware that anyone can make something up, call it a documentary, and there is absolutely no one and nothing to stop them.
Straitgate, the Canadian magazine "Global Outlook" - published in the Ontario vacation community of Shanty Bay by activists from the University of Ottawa (including a university professor) - stated a few years after 9/11 that investigators had determined that the most flight-training any of the hijackers had was: one of the hijackers had qualified to take off from an airport in a single engine Cessna, fly once around the airport...and land! And that's it! Apparently entering the cockpit of a modern airliner and attempting to fly it without any training would be like entering the cockpit of an alien spacecraft and attempting to fly it. In other words, it'd be impossible! I'm surprised to hear a former member of US Army intelligence and the Defense Intelligence Agency say that keeping a 9/11 type conspiracy secret would be impossible! What does an agent do if his controller tells him "They'll kill you if you talk"? There's a death threat implicit in CIA's warnings to its' agents to keep their mouth shut! Same's true with Freemasonry: "Keep your mouth shut...or else!" I dunno. Maybe Army intelligence and DIA does things different?
I'm not saying we have all the answers to how 9-11 went down and how those who perpetrated it were trained. To claim that would be tantamount to admitting a supreme confidence in the very intell community that is in fact unwieldy and very imperfect (and for a democracy, perhaps such incompetence is a good thing). Anyway, do we have all the answers? Certainly not. I'm saying the notion that the US govt planned, successfully carried out, and then kept absolutely secret such a complex operation is beyond absurd. Far, far more absurd than the notion that these hijackers were somehow...by some additional unknown training or pure luck...able to pull this off (after all, they were blessed with a preternaturally clear September day and they didn't need to take off or land the plane, just aim it). And the notion of death threats to anyone in the CIA who talks? You've been watching Bourne or Three Days of the Condor too many times. Completely preposterous in DIA or anywhere else in the intel community. No bureaucracy, and especially not one that has a regime change every four years, has such levels of precision and hermetic secrecy. I'm not saying this because I'm a defender of "the Man" or the system. I'm saying it from a position of reason and common sense. But addicted conspiracists will not listen to sense; they are addicted to the notion of conspiracies. I guess the notion of secret machinations "at the highest levels" make life more interesting and help excuse failures by pinning them to a "rigged system."
Absurd conspiratorial babble. They start from the premise they have already accepted as true and work backwards. I will never believe such conspiracy theories in a democratic and capitalist country (yes, I know democracy with many problems but still a relatively open and free society all questions of equal representation and justice aside). For God's sake, they can't even keep a celebrity's marriage a secret in such a society because information is such a commodity on the open market. Look at the killing of UBL in 2011...how many people "sworn to secrecy" and lifelong professionals suddenly lost their principals when money (or better, the prospect of fame) was flashed in front of their faces or when the realized they could even scores by talking? And how many versions of that mission do we have now...and books? And all coming out within a few years. There is no way..NO WAY...that a secret of this magnitude requiring such a complex logistical plan and multiple players could be kept secret. Yet not one government official...even anonymously...has come forward with anything even suggesting such a cover up. And another reason, I worked for almost 8 years in US intelligence, first with the army and then with DIA. These conspiracy theories are spun together by people without experience in govt. I would never EVER give the government enough credit to pull off something like this. It couldn't organize a one-car parade. There was even a saying bandied about when I was on the job, "Good enough for government work." Conspiracy indeed. The real travesty here is the lives that were lost BECAUSE of government incompetence...or bureaucratic unwieldiness in a free society...and now the time lost in making such nonsense.
This is a 2004 72-minute documentary which explains a number of 9/11 conspiracy theories. Producer and writer Dave Vonkleist says, "The public was not given all of the facts surrounding the worst terrorist attack in U.S. history." Dave points out the largest coverup in modern U.S. history. He also asks the audience, "Why was there no Boeing debris outside the Pentagon building immediately after the event?" Come to think of it, I've never seen any part of the plane debris on the news clips. Have you? If you see all the Video & photographic evidences, you might believe that some of the top U.S. brass might have fascilitated the disaster as President Roosevelt didn't prevent the Pearl Harbor attack while knowing the attack was imminent. Dave implies that some of the U.S. government officials made money, making wars in Afganistan and Iraq. Several of the claims made in the film, however, have been rejected by some individuals in the 9/11 Truth movement. The film is quite agitating yet thought-provoking.
